Singularity

Just think:

In a small span of time

I could become a singularity

A point unseen

A darkness, a density

In the everness of the universe.

I could shut my body down,

Turn off the lights,

Close the cell doors and

The synaptic gaps.

Shut down the flow of information that

Tells me

I should feel broken

and wrong.

In one small span

I could compress my being

Into something timeless

Amazing

and

Infinite.

I could become an anomoly.

A curiosity.

A thing of beauty.

But I think, just for today,

I

won’t.
